Targets
The API a proxy calls.
A target is the upstream API base URL RequestRocket calls. Choose its region before saving: the handler keeps the original region on every later update. The proxy, inbound credential, target credential, and target must share that region.
Create the target
Open Targets and open the New tab. Name it HTTPBin, set the base URL to https://httpbin.org, and set the test path to /get. The base URL is the upstream origin; the optional test path is appended only when testing the target.

Result
The saved target can be selected by a proxy in the same region. A successful test of this example calls https://httpbin.org/get. For a production API, use its HTTPS origin and a safe read-only path such as /health when one exists.
Troubleshooting
- Include the URL scheme in the base URL.
- If an update includes a different region, the stored target still remains in its original region.
- A failed test can mean the base URL or test path is invalid, unavailable, or requires a target credential.
