ConnectTargets
Targets with an agent
Create and read targets from the Core MCP.
Pass clientId for every target call. Targets belong to an organisation, and their stored region cannot be changed after creation.
Call get_guide with guide_key: "target-creation" before the first create.
Call order
- Call
create_target.- Required:
clientId,targetName,targetBaseURL,targetRegion. - Optional:
targetTestPath,targetNotes.
- Required:
- Keep the returned target id.
- Select the target when creating a proxy or direct MCP server in the same region.
Use list_targets(clientId) to discover ids and get_target(clientId, targetId) to inspect one. update_target requires clientId and targetId; targetName, targetBaseURL, targetRegion, targetTestPath, and targetNotes are optional tool arguments, but the runtime retains the original region.
Example
{
"tool": "create_target",
"arguments": {
"clientId": "b3a1c7d2-5e44-4f0a-9c1e-7d2f8a6b1c90",
"targetName": "HTTPBin",
"targetBaseURL": "https://httpbin.org",
"targetRegion": "us-east-2",
"targetTestPath": "/get"
}
}The result contains the created target. Its base URL and test path identify https://httpbin.org/get for a target test.
